14. What happens to the material when you recycle my old mattress and box springs?

Our employees separate your old mattress by hand. Metal, foam, cotton, and cloth are all separated into different 1000-pound bales.  Once we have a full tractor trailer load of each type of material, it’s shipped off to larger companies that will use the raw materials to make new products.

Visit our Recycle Now page to see how you can dispose of your mattress properly!
